Kazuhiko Matsumoto, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Kazuhiko is the key architect of Ziosoft's product design. After nearly two decades as a serial entrepreneur launching successful startups, Kazuhiko brought his wealth of resources and knowledge to the field of medical imaging. Kazuhiko founded Ziosoft in August of 1998 and has managed the company as its President and Chief Executive Officer. In the intervening years, he has cultivated success in Product Planning, Business Development, Marketing, and Product Design.
Prior to founding Ziosoft, Kazuhiko was an early employee of Weathernews, which had a successful public offering on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Kazuhiko was awarded a Masters Degree in Information and Communication Engineering and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tokyo. His academic research included parallel database and massively parallel computer architecture- specifically the implementation of relational database systems on massively parallel machines.
Masao Yamamura, Chief Development Officer and President, Japan
Masao Yamamura joined Ziosoft in 2007 and brings to the position over 25 years of research and development experience on networked digital imaging systems. He has a demonstrated track record of leading products from planning to development to commercialization. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and GM at Electronics for Imaging (EFI). Prior to joining EFI, he developed workstations and printing systems for Fuji Xerox and Xerox Corporation.
Masao Yamamura holds a BS and MS in Information System Engineering from Hiroshima University, Japan.
Rob Royea, President and Chief Operations Officer
Rob is President for all geographic areas outside of Japan and Chief Operations Officer worldwide for Ziosoft. He originally joined the company as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He leads both of these areas as well. Rob has extensive experience as a senior operational, sales and marketing executive with demonstrated success at creating and executing strategies necessary to grow sophisticated medical technology and software companies. He has been responsible for facilitating market expansion through mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, distribution channels and corporate branding, resulting in significant revenue gains. Rob previously held executive positions with Eklin Medical Systems, AGFA Healthcare and Siemens Medical Solutions where he had P&L responsibility for more than $550 million in product line revenue. Prior to Siemens, he served in similar positions with Johnson&Johnson and Acuson, helping grow the latter into one of the world's leading ultrasound and ultrasound PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) companies.
